The first of the Saturday evening excursions takes in Vibrant Forest Brewery (vibrantforest.co.uk) near Lymington in the New Forest which first appeared in 2011 when its creator, Kevin Robinson started brewing in his garage on a part time basis. His beers quickly developed a reputation for good quality and as demand increased the venture became a full time commitment with the brewery moving to its present location with space to expand. The range of ales being brewed cover all styles and strengths and the numerous awards from CAMRA Beer Festivals far and wide are testimony to the quality of these products. Heavily hopped IPA’s and dark, rich stouts and porters are among the delights to be expected here and as many of these beers are dispensed through force carbonated key keg, this trip should certainly appeal to those who enjoy the modern techniques and styles being developed by many breweries across the country. Locally produced sausage rolls and pasties will be available to purchase for those wishing to eat during the visit while the brewery shop and bar are also open on Friday afternoons and Saturday lunchtimes for those unable to make this trip but wanting to pay a visit during the weekend.
